Qualified meaning not a female animal pregnant or with youngIngs, only taking prey nature will soon retire. That’s the best explanation I can offer as a none Bunun person. FYI, there are currently 16 unique indigenous tribes recognized by the Taiwan government, with different languages and varied customs.
Are you talking about the person singing the high part? They sing the melody and then sing harmonizing bits. Sounds good to me, because I can hear every part clearly. It also adds to the true authenticity of the piece.

気になって調べてみたんですけど。この曲は2004年にリリースされたもので、台湾の山岳少数民族のブヌン族という方々とアメリカのチェリストで作曲家のデヴィッド・ダーリングという方が手掛けた曲のうちの一曲らしく、ブヌン族の方々の歌は複雑で精緻な8部和音のハーモニーで現代の音楽とも類似する部分を持っていて、これまでの「楽曲の起源は単音を基調としてより複雑なアレンジに発展していった」という学説を覆すものだそうです。そして「ブヌン族の方々とデヴィッドさんの素晴らしい音を結びつけ再解釈を与える事により古代の伝統の中に息づく魂を蘇らせている」と書いてありました。
